We suggest you settle in for a long and luxurious experience with antipasti, small bites. Then, move into the primi piatti, the “first dishes” of pasta or risotto. Secondi piatti ― think entrées ― are heartier meat dishes. Finally, it’s time for dolci – dessert!!
The Italian Bistro’s menu features Italy’s regional specialties, inspired by the rustic cooking of the countryside, served in moderate portions, perfect for sharing and the adventurous diner. The Bistro also offers an Italian focused wine list and craft beers.
Chef Ken Flutie's cooking style is Italian inspired, and Mediterranean influenced, "With Italian I learned to love pure, simple flavors; exquisite fresh pastas and homey braises, an appreciation of traditional technique, deeply flavored sauces and the classics. New England, especially Vermont, keeps me grounded and my food honest."
Chef Ken cooks the recipes of "a hundred dead grandmothers," fresh egg pastas are made daily in our kitchen, and sauces made from scratch, all with inspiration from past generations. The Bistro's culinary team uses the freshest and finest ingredients available to devise simple, brilliant, "crazy good Italian" food.
